Montessori Reading and Writing Program for Adults

This program teaches adults the Montessori approach to reading and writing for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. You will learn each step of the process, beginning with creating a prepared learning environment, understanding and setting up materials, and using the three-period lesson. The program also covers record-keeping to track each child’s progress on their learning journey.

You will explore pre-reading and pre-writing skills, including sound recognition and activities to develop the hand for writing. The program introduces the magic of sandpaper letters along with all follow-up activities, and guides you through word reading using a variety of materials provided in PDF format. You will also learn how to use the movable alphabet and strategies for working with reluctant readers.

By the end of the program, you will have the knowledge and practical skills to guide children aged 2.5 to 6 in reading and writing using the Montessori method, supporting them every step of the way.

Please note: This program does not include all physical materials, such as sandpaper letters. While we provide detailed information on each material and guidance for how to obtain them, the actual items must be purchased separately.
